In an interview with Azerbaijan’s agency Trend, Victor Yushchenko has said the construction of a new route to transport Caspian oil from Baku (Azerbaijan) to Plock (Poland) via Odessa (Ukraine) is the most important area of cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, according to the President’s press-office.

“The two countries’ mutual interests and advantageous geostrategic location provide the economic basis for our partnership and open prospects of creating joint transportation corridors, mainly energy routes,” he said.

The Head of State also said the two states could cooperate in many other areas.
